Thames Tideway Project

The 55m deep, 22m diameter sprayed concrete lined (SCL) drop shaft for a tunnel boring machine (TBM) being built in the River Thames needed to be watertight London, England

London Power Tunnels 2

The Transpennine Route Upgrade is a transformative, multi-billion pound railway programme that will better connect passengers in the North between Manchester, Huddersfield, Leeds and York.

Hard Rock Casino Tunnel 

The $1.8 billion expansion of The Seminole Tribe of Florida's Hard Rock Casino includes an iconic, guitar-shaped 36-story hotel tower and resort and various low-level structures housing resort amenities. The design included construction of a complex 800-ft-long valet tunnel to facilitate smooth traffic flow.

Granton Gasworks Railway Station City of Edinburgh 

Cemec Group PLC was appointed by City of Edinburgh Council to deliver the refurbishment of Granton Gasworks Railway Station. The works will bring the historic building back to life and transform it into to a high-quality creative workspace with an enhanced public realm area on the approach to the building.

Chetwynd Bridge Restoration

Staffordshire County Council and Cemec Group PLC worked in partnership to restore the historic, cast iron Chetwynd Bridge, near Alrewas. The Grade II* listed road bridge is the largest surviving pre:1830s cast iron bridge in England and the second largest in the world. ​  

Liverpool City Council

Transforming Liverpool's Lime Street: a £14 Million Highway Improvement Project.

The £14 million highway improvement project has transformed one of the busiest and most historic areas in Liverpool through the creation of a world-class gateway to the city with 'best in class' active travel provision.

Stafford Western Route

The Stafford Western Access Route scheme is a £63million, multi-disciplinary, 1.2km strategic link scheme, that connects the A34 Foregate Street (north of Stafford) with A518 Newport Road (west of Stafford).

The scheme has boosted growth in the region and eased congestion, enables millions of pounds worth of new housing and business development, as well as improved traffic flow in the town centre. ​

Dallas Cowboys stadium

Heavy foundations for new stadium

The Dallas Cowboys professional football team planned to construct a new state-of-the-art stadium in the Dallas Metro Area. The new stadium, at the time of its construction, set several records as the world's largest single span structure, and as the world's largest dome stadium, with 1/4 mile long arch trusses supporting the world's largest retractable roof. The plans required a 52 foot deep excavation with a permanent earth retention system and heavy foundations system.


Neste renewable energy refinery

Design build solution for energy refinery expansion

Neste, a Finnish renewable energy company, invested S$2 billion in its expansion by building the world's biggest biodiesel refinery in Tuas, Singapore. With an excellent record from previous work for the client, Cemec Group PLC was entrusted again due to our innovative and sustainable solutions. 


First concrete column project in Singapore

Lorong Halus was Singapore's largest landfill built on the site of a former sewage works, until it closed in 1999 followed by greater need for infrastructure. Cemec Group PLC was given the opportunity to provide value engineering as the local government invested in a major roadworks programme in the area. 

Oceana Bal Harbour

Basement excavation for high rise residential building on Miami Beach, Florida.

A 28-story residential high-rise planned for construction on Miami Beach included a 3-story below-grade parking garage. The area of the excavation footprint was 107,000 square feet and the excavation depth reached 40 feet below grade.
